Returns Policy

IN HOME DISPLAYS LIMITED RETURNS POLICY

We hope that you enjoy the purchases you make from In Home Displays Limited. However, if you wish to return an item, you may do so in accordance with your statutory rights and/or this Returns Policy.

All our products conform to stated specifications/standards and are covered by a one year warranty (subject to the exceptions outlined in the section “Warranty Exceptions” below).

How to Return an Item

Customers may return items purchased from In Home Displays Limited under this Returns Policy in accordance with the following terms:

1. Return requests under this Returns Policy must be made to contact@ihdl.co.uk within 14 days of delivery of an item with details of the original order, your name, address and email address..

2. We will notify you when the item(s) can be returned, as we may need to first “unjoin” the item(s) from your smart metering systems.

3. Items should be returned within 14 days and must be complete, in perfect condition and returned undamaged in the original box.

4. To start the returns process, you should utilise our online returns portal, accessible here: www.in-home-displays.co.uk.

5. You will be required to pay the postage for the returned item(s)

Entitlement to a Refund

When a return is made following the requirements and procedures set out in this Returns Policy, you are entitled to a full refund of the price you paid for the item(s):

1. Taking into account any discounts that were applied at the time of purchase.

2. Exclusive of any shipping costs paid, or excess return charges.

Processing Returns

Once we have received an item you wish to return:

1. We will check the item you have returned within, wherever possible, 10 days.

2. If we confirm that the item and your returns procedure comply with the requirements set out in this Returns Policy: a. We will let you know that your return has been received and accepted.

b. You will receive a refund via your original payment method, usually within 10 days of a return being accepted.

3. If the item returned or your returns procedure does not comply with the requirements set out in this Returns Policy: a. We will let you know why your return has not been accepted.

b. We may offer a reduced refund (e.g. if an item is returned damaged).

c. You will have the option to take the item back (note that you may be required to pay for shipping if necessary)

Warranty

Our products conform to published specifications and standards. If you believe your product is faulty, or develops a fault outside the initial returns window and within 1 year of purchase, please notify us at contact@ihdl.co.uk.

We will request you to return the product for inspection and, if a fault is found, we will repair or replace the unit. Repaired/replaced items will be covered by a further one-year warranty from the date of replacement.

Warranty is subject to the exclusions in the section “Exclusions of Warranty” below.

Please note: in-home displays rely on receiving data from the smart metering system.

– Signal strength can be affected by distance, thick walls and items in “line of sight” from your meters. Please ensure your display can be sited in a suitable location before purchase.

– Information displayed is limited to available information and may not reflect multiple energy tariffs or your energy bill.

– If you disconnect your device or you move home, this will affect the operation of your device. When moving home, please contact us in advance at contact@ihdl.co.uk . A re-connection fee may be payable.

Exclusions of warranty

IHDL will not be liable for any faults or failures that occur as a result of:

(a) problems due to the home internet or smart meter

(b) faults arising in the item(s) as a result of the misuse or negligence by the customer

(c) the item(s) has not been properly stored, handled or installed as recommended by IHDL

(d) external events outside our control, such as flood, fire, electrical surges/over-pressurisation, lightning, seismic activity, vandalism, attempts to repair, alter, tamper, or attempts at hacking or similar or other unforeseeable misuses.

(e) there is no fault found
